Joel Henderson on How Korchinski Fits Sharks

Kyle and JD continue their Draft coverage with Joel Henderson of FC Hockey. We discuss Seattle Thunderbirds defenseman Kevin Korchinski and how he would fit on the San Jose Sharks. Joel discusses why Korchinski has been a fast riser on Draft boards and what makes him worthy of being a potential top-10 pick. We look at his range in the Draft (20:00) and where he ends up going in the Draft (29:00).

i’m still leaning towards the Sharks trading back if a real top tier talent doesn’t fall to them.
there’s so many good players you can pick late in the 1st/early 2nd because they all have things they do very well, and things they need a lot of work on. does any team really know what their needs will be 3, 4, even 5 years out? especially a team w/o a GM (and most likely new HC), i don’t see how the Sharks have the first clue about what kind of team they’ll want to construct.
Lambert is trending badly right now and might drop all the way to the 2nd round. what if the Sharks trade back at #11 with ARI (which has the last 2 picks in the 1st round) for their #30 pick and give us back our #43 pick? i’d be psyched to get both Denton Mateychuk (#30) and Brad Lambert (#43) in this draft. there are a number of other players i can project there, but this is my stars aligning fantasy.
Is there a good, recent Draft pick value chart? Best recent one looks like Dom’s from 2020. Couple of them suggest that No. 30 and No. 43 are a little short for No. 11.
