GOTTA SEE IT: Brent Burns Plays Goalie in Hilarious Mix-Up
In one of the great twist endings since “The Sixth Sense,” it turns out it was Brent Burns wearing Kaapo Kahkonen’s gear playing goal in a 10 and 11-year-old youth game.
It all started at the end of locker room cleanout day, when we spotted a goalie, wearing Kahkonen’s complete San Jose Sharks set-up, sprawling and diving in a youth game. I spotted the Finnish flag on the back of Kahkonen’s new mask, the size of the netminder, and the apparent agility displayed, and assumed the 25-year-old was just having a good time before leaving for the summer.

Nobody was surprised, by the way. Minnesota Wild fans chimed in to let me know what a good guy the San Jose Sharks’ new goalie is.
Doesn’t surprise me, such a good dude to the kids. Made sure my daughter got a puck in Denver! pic.twitter.com/1uaCPcIJds

But perhaps not wanting to take credit for himself, Kahkonen corrected me on Twitter with a reveal worthy of any “Scooby Doo” episode.

Sensational form, Burnzie! It looks like Burns was just joining his kids for some weekend fun — but maybe the San Jose Sharks have also found their new EBUG.
