San Jose Sharks legend Joe Thornton was featured in a Super Bowl advertisement last night.

Well, at least one that debuted on Super Bowl broadcasts in Canada.

Alongside former Norris Trophy winner P.K. Subban, the two former stars helped Apple with their latest iPhone 14 commercial.

The ad is showcasing the iPhone 14’s purported long-lasting battery life. But more important than that, hockey fans must’ve been pleased to see that Jumbo still has his glorious beard.

Hopefully by now, P.K. has found his tooth!

AT SAN JOSE HOCKEY NOW…

In what could be considered their best 60-minute game this season, the San Jose Sharks beat the Washington Capitals 4-1.

Erik Karlsson trade rumors are front and center: Could the Oilers want the Sharks to retain 40% of EK65’s contract?

Timo Meier is no stranger to being connected to the New Jersey Devils. What could a potential deal be with New Jersey?

The Locked on Sharks Podcast discusses Tomas Hertl finally ending his scoring slump and EK65’s continued dominance.

IN OTHER SHARKS NEWS…

Karlsson reaches 73 points and now ranks 4th in NHL scoring.

The San Jose Sharks will celebrate Black History Month this Saturday.

Kaapo Kahkonen left Sunday’s game with an injury, forcing Aaron Dell into the game. They didn’t practice today.

AROUND THE NHL…

Pittsburgh Penguins No. 1 goalie Tristan Jarry may return tomorrow against the Sharks.

The New York Islanders don’t seem to be in on Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun.

The Vegas Golden Knights have confirmed their interest in trading for Patrick Kane.

Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett has been a major utility piece this season.

The Washington Capitals are in a weird spot regarding the Trade Deadline.

The Calgary Flames scored seven unanswered goals to beat the Buffalo Sabres 7-2 Saturday.

The Coyotes have said that Chychrun will not play until he is traded.

For the first time since 2020, the Toronto Maple Leafs held their annual outdoor practice.

Although the Chicago Blackhawks are rebuilding, head coach Luke Richardson is focused on finding who they are.

NHL Awards talk is heating up as the playoff push begins.
