Sharks’ Burning Training Camp Questions Answered

any semi competent GM trades Hertl. the Sharks aren’t even close to being a real SC contender and DW should know that. prob why they aren’t talking. a closer team will take a chance on Hertl’s knees holding up long enough to help them get a cup within 2 seasons of the trade. can’t move: Couture, Vlasic, and possibly not even Burns. Kane’s future is a ? can’t hold onto a moveable player who can’t realistically help your team in his remaining “prime” and will be a massive ? as soon as he hits 30 yoa (2 season from now).… Read more »

That’s a fair point on Meloche, he’s been written off the last couple years. I thought he might not be qualified in the summer of 2020, and lo and behold, he comes back and plays in the NHL the next year

got stuck behind talented blue line with COL. i thought it was a very lopsided trade at the time, still might turn out that way.

Yea a former 2nd-rounder for a clear AHL goalie is always a win. Wilson seems to love these small but clear win deals (Barabanov for Suomela for example)
