SJHN Daily: Ferraro Learns Lesson in Humility

Published

on

Mario Ferraro has learned his lesson.

When No. 1 seed Purdue fell to No. 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, Ferraro, according to an anonymous San Jose Sharks locker room source, started teasing Tomas Hertl, who happened to have Purdue in his March Madness bracket.

But ultimately, it was Hertl who emerged victorious in the locker room March Madness bracket competition.

“It was a little bit of karma,” the 24-year-old alternate captain admitted.

This is truly a lesson in leadership, indeed.

“The wrong guy won, that’s for sure,” Ferraro railed. “The worst bracket won. The worst bracket won.”

But the defenseman was gracious in defeat.

“It went to the worst bracket that was made. So congrats Tommy on that.”
