No matter the result, it’s going to be a night to remember for Henry Thrun.

The night began as usual for rookies making their NHL debut, with the newest San Jose Sharks defenseman taking part in his rookie lap.

Thrun did not waste time before making an impact with the San Jose Sharks, tallying two assists in just his first period of NHL action. His first coming here, directly after a faceoff:

All this excitement caught up with Thrun’s mother, Deborah, who was in attendance. Earlier today, Thrun shared his parents, brother, and girlfriend all made the trip from Boston to San Jose for his debut.

Because of this early success, Thrun caught up with Drew Remenda during the intermission show:

“I wouldn’t be here without them,” Thrun shared about his family in attendance. “It means so much to me that they’re all here. They’ve done so much for me in my career, I’m sharing this experience with them. They’ve done just as much as I have in this process.”
