Sharks Give 65-Year-Old Rec League Goalie Harold Robinson a Special Gift

If the San Jose Sharks ever need a goalie in New York, they’ve got one in Harold Robinson.
Thanks to the team, he’s got a Sharks jersey now.
In November, head coach Ryan Warsofsky invited the 65-year-old rec league goalie to take shots at a Sharks practice at Chelsea Piers.
“I came out of the locker room because I was heading over towards Chelsea open hockey [at another rink], and one of the [San Jose Sharks] equipment managers turned around and said to me, Coach wants you to get on the ice,” Harold Robinson told San Jose Hockey Now then. “I looked at him, you gotta be kidding me?”

And now, Robinson can practice with the team in a Sharks jersey instead of Quebec Nordiques garb.
In January, the San Jose Sharks passed on an authentic goalie-cut jersey to San Jose Hockey Now to gift Robinson.
Goalie-cut jerseys are wider and larger to accommodate goaltending equipment.
Allan Kreda, co-author of Ken Morrow’s new autobiography Miracle Gold, Four Stanley Cups, and a Lifetime of Islanders Hockey, handed the jersey to Robinson.
Robinson was especially grateful to Warsofsky for his moment in the sun, and Sharks equipment personnel Mike Aldrich, Jon Laughner, Ryan Kelsey, and Roy Sneesby for procuring the specialty jersey.
It was a day that Robinson will never forget — and now, he can always represent Team Teal.
He’s also got a Sharks practice jersey too. Robinson also plays with the NHL league office staff team, and they presented him with a jersey recently too.
“Harold Robinson, San Jose Sharks legend,” Kreda said.
