GOTTA SEE IT: Nabokov in Net Again, Sharks Legends Game Rosters Released
Evgeni Nabokov is playing again.
Really. Kind of.
The 47-year-old, who retired in Feb. 2015 as the San Jose Sharks’ career leader in Games Played, Wins, and Shutouts, records which he still holds, hit the ice yesterday afternoon in preparation for this Friday’s Sharks Legends Game at Tech CU Arena.

The San Jose Sharks director of goaltending looked pretty good taking shots from goaltending coach Thomas Speer!
The 2023 Legends Game will celebrate Patrick Marleau, set to have his jersey retired on Saturday night before the Chicago Blackhawks game at SAP Center. Marleau will be the first San Jose Sharks player to have his jersey retired.
The alumni exhibition on Friday will feature a who’s who of San Jose Sharks greats like Marleau, Nabokov, Joe Thornton, Owen Nolan, Mike Ricci, and more.
Marleau’s sons Brody, Landon, Jagger, and Caleb will also play. Current San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier will coach Team Teal and Kelly Hrudey will helm Team White.

The 2023 Sharks Legends Game will begin at 7:30 PM on Friday at Tech CU Arena. Marleau’s jersey retirement ceremony begins at 5:30 PM on Saturday at SAP Center.
