Reviewing Potential Erik Karlsson Trades

Published

on

Erik Karlsson confirmed over the weekend that he has spoken to several teams about a potential trade. I start by analyzing the San Jose Sharks star’s interview with Adam Johansson of Expressen and some of the key items to take from it, including speaking with the Seattle Kraken and Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Karlsson Has Spoken With Kraken, Maple Leafs About Possible Trade

Next, I review some of the potential trades from each of the prospective teams and what the return could be. I start with the Penguins, and if a few picks, Ty Smith, and Samuel Poulin would be enough for San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier (11:00). Then, I talk about how the Carolina Hurricanes could offer some more intriguing prospects in Jackson Blake and Jack Drury with the same picks package (15:30)? Next, would the Seattle Kraken be willing to offer Shane Wright in a trade if they don’t have to offer any draft picks (23:00)? Finally, would an Erik Karlsson for William Nylander one-for-one destroy the internet (27:30)?
