Published

on

KyleErik, and JD are joined by EP Rinkside’s Mitch Brown to discuss some mid-round defensemen who could be available for the San Jose Sharks to draft. We start by looking at the change of philosophy for drafting defensemen by the San Jose Sharks under Doug Wilson Jr., then get into Kyle Masters of the Red Deer Rebels (5:30) and Cole Jordan of the Moose Jaw Warriors (13:00). We finish by debating Ryker Evans of the Regina Pats (21:00) and if Dmitri Kuzmin of Belarus could be a fun addition (26:00).

Kuzmin can play both sides too ala T.J. Brodie. i like him tail end of the 2nd or early 3rd round.

Brent Johnson could be there at the Sharks 3rd rd pick if he slides some. others: Jordan, Hreschuk, Ufko, and Kirsanov. converted F, Plandowski could even be a good choice for his excellent skating, strong defense in the NZ/DZ, highly effective transition play w/soft and accurate passing, and good power on short/mid range 1-timers from the opposite side of the ice.
