Preview/Lines #7: Quinn Reacts to Rangers Fans Booing

NEWARK, N.J. — David Quinn has a good sense of humor, you have to give him that.
On Thursday night, the New York Rangers tried to thank Quinn for his time as head coach of the Rangers with a “Thank You” graphic on the jumbotron. However, the fans started booing, so they cut away quickly.
That would be mostly boos for Quinn when he's thanked on MSG jumbotron. They cut away quick, mercifully

“I didn’t know until after the game. I had no clue that they put me up there. The boos weren’t that bad because I didn’t hear any booing. I mean, I’m a coach,” the new San Jose Sharks head coach said this morning. “And anybody that cheered isn’t gonna cheer as loud as the people that booed. That’s coaching. I thought it was kind of funny. But I never heard it.”
For what it’s worth, from my press box seat, it wasn’t a loud, long boo, so I can see Quinn missing it. And there were a smattering of cheers too.
San Jose Sharks (1-5-0)
Quinn said that Kaapo Kahkonen would replace James Reimer, which makes sense because the Sharks play tomorrow evening in Philadelphia.
Kevin Labanc is also coming in for Jonah Gadjovich, which makes sense despite the win versus the Rangers. At times, Gadjovich didn’t play as fast as the rest of his teammates did on Thursday, as I noted then:
I can also see Quinn wanting to get one of skill players back in as soon as possible after a benching.
Scott Harrington will also draw in for Jaycob Megna.
#SJSharks lines this afternoon, Labanc/Harrington draw in:
Meier-Hertl-Barabanov
Bonino-Couture-Kunin
Svechnikov-Sturm-Labanc
Lindblom-Lorentz-NietoHarrington-Karlsson
Vlasic-Benning
Ferraro-SimekKahkonen
