Where Did Sharks Get Better, Worse Under Quinn?
Mike Grier’s first-ever coaching hire was David Quinn, how did the San Jose Sharks get better and worse under Quinn? I start by examining where the Sharks finished the 2023 season in key offensive, defensive, goaltending, and special teams categories and where the Sharks need to get better. Then I compare the 2021-22 San Jose Sharks under Bob Boughner to this team and examine how the goaltending was a huge reason for the Sharks’ better record last year (12:00). Finally, I compare Quinn’s first season as the New York Rangers head coach and how his first season with the Sharks was much better despite the record (22:00).
