What Might a Burns Trade Look Like?



Brent Burns has been a stalwart on the San Jose Sharks blueline for the past decade, but the potential for him to be traded has seemingly increased. With your help, we look at some potential trades for the San Jose Sharks to help get Burns to a contender, while also getting the Sharks some much need cap flexibility. We start with Burns to the Carolina Hurricanes (6:00), the Pittsburgh Penguins (13:00), and finally, all the Dallas Stars trades that you offered up (18:00).

the NYI and NJD also want to improve their blue line scoring. a trade with NYI: they’ll prob want to move out some cap space as well as have SJS retain on Burns. Scott Mayfield ($1.45Mx1 left) RHD makes room for Burns on their blue line +50% retained on Burns remaining for Keifer Bellows (23), LW/RW + 2nd rd (COL) pick. a trade with NJD: the NJD GM is already on record saying he’d do anything to acquire scoring depth on his blue line and at forward positions, including trade away their 1st rd pick. they could also use an… Read more »
