DENVER — Before his return to Denver, Alexandar Georgiev opened up about his December trade from the Colorado Avalanche.

In a candid one-on-one with San Jose Hockey Now, Georgiev talked about his frustration with Avalanche management losing faith in him before the trade, why he’s pleased with the direction of his game with the San Jose Sharks, goaltending coach Thomas Speer’s positive impact, and whether he’s hoping to go elsewhere before the Mar. 7 Trade Deadline.

“The first two games [of this season], I was really bad, and all of a sudden, I felt the trust in the goaltending kind of evaporated there,” Georgiev told SJHN on Tuesday.
