Why does San Jose Sharks prospect Danil Gushchin wear No. 66? And how many spin bikes did Muskegon have to buy because of him??

Per Jimmy Hamrin of McKeen’s Hockey, Dahlen had a “good debut” — “hit the crossbar once, and had a few dangerous passes in the offensive zone.” He had three shot attempts and played 19:19 in a 3-1 Sweden loss.
Jag tycker Jonathan Dahlén gör en bra debut. Har väl en 4-5 avslut, ett ribbskott och några framspelningar.
Bäst i Sverige var Anton Wedin dock.

Also, Yegor Spiridonov was part of a 6-2 Team Russia upset over Finland at the Karjala Cup; he played 16:02, had zero shot attempts, registered a -1, and won six of nine faceoffs. Russia is the only country to send an entire U20 team to the tournament.
Finland's head coach Jukka Jalonen commented last week:
"Speaking frankly, we have no interest playing against a U20 team. We'll play if we have to but we couldn't care less."So this should be fun.

Does anyone know if there are nhlers loaned to clubs that are allowed to play in the Kajalar cup. I guess what I am trying to get at is if the Nhl clubs need to give permission for said players competing in this, and if so, perhaps there are a few better choices for these countries but they couldn’t take.
Not sure exactly how selection went, think it was up to country but there may have been some consultation with NHL teams.
For example, as you may have seen, Russia sent a U20 team on purpose — it’s for WJC preparation. The Czechs have Hronek (DET) on their team.
On other hand, Swedes didn’t pick any NHL loans.
Why do the other countries seems not happy with Russia sending a u20 team? I simply don’t see what’s wrong with that. Since wjc is one of the most important tourneys of the year, Russia preparing for it with there possible wjc roster seems to make sense to me. As an ex-athlete and sports organizer myself, I see many examples of this in my sport and I don’t really see what the problem is.
It’s a good question that I should remember to ask our Monday podcast guest (it’ll be Karjala-focused). Maybe perception was Russia wasn’t taking tourney seriously enough, but clearly, that was a statement victory earlier. There would probably be consternation if it was reversed, a country sent a team full of NHL loans, like why are you taking it so seriously?
Pretty wicked shot from Dahlen.
