BREAKING: Joel Kellman Has Re-signed with Sharks, Terms Disclosed

Earlier today, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reported that the San Jose Sharks had re-signed impending RFA Joel Kellman for two more years.
San Jose Hockey Now has learned, per multiple sources, the terms of this agreement:
2020-21 $700,000 NHL / $300,000 AHL
2021-22 $800,000 NHL
The cap hit will be $750,000 each season. The first year of Kellman’s new contract is two-way.

Cheaper and longer than I thought he would get. Was expecting 1yr @ 1m so this is a nice surprise! Should help cap wise too
Usually after the ELC, a less impactful player will make well below it. Case in point, Gambrell, who was making $925K per during his ELC, but signed a two-year, 1.4 mil (700K cap hit) contract after his ELC expired. Kellman was in the same boat.
The cap hit is lower than his qualifying offer ($875K) but Kellman gets an extra year of security.
nice depth piece and re-signing. Kellman will help defensively and has the potential to up his offensive contribution.
I’m esp curious to see how he does with more PK time, if Melker walks away
