Eklund, Bordeleau Headed to World Junior Championships?
William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau could be headed to the World Junior Championships.
Eklund was named to Sweden’s preliminary roster and Bordeleau was named to USA’s Evaluation Camp:
No Lucas Raymond, No Alexander Holtz.

This is no guarantee that either San Jose Sharks prospect will go to Edmonton this August, a make-up for the January tournament that was cut short by COVID.
The Sharks have to approve Eklund and Bordeleau’s attendance. My guess is they will do that – I’m under the impression that both Eklund and Bordeleau very much want to participate.
There’s talk that this might be too much hockey for youngsters that the San Jose Sharks are counting so much on next year: There’s July development camp, August WJCs, September rookie tournament and training camp, and just maybe not enough development time in between.
Maybe Eklund and Bordeleau can stand to miss development camp? The WJCs are a once-in-a-lifetime experience – of anybody, Bordeleau knows that.
