Doug Wilson, Doug Wilson Jr., and Joe Will held their pre-Draft availability yesterday and San Jose Hockey Now was there with complete coverage.

As usual, Wilson was coy in regards to San Jose Sharks UFAs and RFAs, but he was surprisingly candid about what the Sharks are looking for in a new goalie:

Wilson also spoke up for much-maligned defenseman Erik Karlsson:

Wilson: “You’re about to see Erik Karlsson be one of the dominant players in the game again.”

Finally, Wilson Jr. told us why he’s excited about this year’s Draft:

Also, JD and Kyle discussed why Devan Dubnyk would be a good fit for San Jose.

Is Devan Dubnyk the Answer for Sharks?

In other San Jose Sharks news…

In the morning, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic offered Braden Holtby and James Reimer, along with Dubnyk, as possible goalie targets for the San Jose Sharks.

But in the evening, Elliotte Friedman reported Dubnyk to the Sharks was “picking up steam.”

Later, Darren Dreger characterized trade discussions as “promising, but not done.” LeBrun noted Dubnyk is San Jose’s “top goalie target.”

Erik Fowle, however, would prefer to simply bring Aaron Dell back for cheap.
