Tough break, Artemi Kniazev will miss this week’s Karjala Cup with a minor injury. Hopefully, this injury doesn’t threaten his chances to play in the World Junior Championships. (KHL Diaries)
Kniazev, along with Gushchin and Yegor Spirodonov, do make Scott Wheeler’s projected World Juniors’ Team Russia roster. Among San Jose Sharks prospects, Wheeler also has Santeri Hatakka making a repeat showing for Team Finland, while Thomas Bordeleau gets on Team USA. (The Athletic)
