4/8 Practice Report: Couture Doesn’t Practice, Boughner Thinks He’ll Play Tomorrow
The big question going into this morning’s San Jose Sharks practice? Would we see Logan Couture, who was in a lot of pain after blocking a shot at the end of Tuesday’s game?
Here are the San Jose Sharks’ forward lines this morning:
Kane-Suomela-Labanc
Balcers-Hertl-Meier
Donato-Gambrell-Leonard
Viel-Marleau-Gregor
Gabriel-Handemark-Sorensen (extras)
Ferraro-Burns
Knyzhov-Karlsson
Simek-Jaros
Uh-oh. That’s Antti Suomela in Couture’s place. Is it a maintenance day or worse for the San Jose Sharks captain?
Per Bob Boughner, Couture SHOULD be good to go tomorrow night:
Boughner thinks Couture will be okay, tried to skate this morning — they'll see tomorrow morning, but Boughner has a "good feeling" that Couture will play

As for the other lines, I thought we might see some tinkering after Tuesday’s lackluster effort, but it looks like the Sharks are staying the course. That said, stay tuned. On Monday, Marcus Sorensen practiced in full on the fourth line, only to be yanked in the morning for Noah Gregor.
